Winter Getaways
Yearning for a break as the season gets colder? Not hanging out with your family this winter? Or just feel like the best holiday of your life? Here are our top 3 places to go for an christmas (or hanukkah…) holiday.
Firstly, we have Canada. This 2-feet-snow, happy atmosphere and holiday decorated country is jam-packed with holiday spirit, although the population isn’t as high as you’d think. Within a month of Christmas, families are hanging their house Christmas lights, putting up and decorating their trees and thinking of what they would love to give their family and friends. Shops are open 24/7, cuisine is definitely 100% winter food, and the snow activities are to die for! The best ice-skating around, highest skiing slopes and best rental equipment and the slippiest tubing grounds. Overall, this place is practically KNOWN for their winter, but don’t go too far north, unless you plan on freezing your hands off!
When you’re done with that, come take a look at Italy. Cuisine: perfect. Activities: practically too many. Lovely houses - what more can you ask for than an Italian villa with 3 floors, pool tables, long family dining tables, private indoor pool, shops, pharmacies and bakeries across the road, no neighbors for a mile and atop the biggest hill in town, all for a cheap price during the generous holiday season? Nor is the weather terrible, you can go to the South if you don’t want a really snowy Christmas.
If you want a warm Christmas (but with snow) you should go to Greece for your perfect holiday. With everything you’ll need on offer, Greece is your number one destination, and if you haven't tried Greek cuisine, you are in for a taste journey of a lifetime. From grilled halloumi cheese with lemon - to cheese, chicken and spices pot cooked dishes which (with no literal exaggeration) is MIND-BLOWING.
