Baking for the Maffia
On November 24th Year 8 EWA (Miss Walsh’s tutor group) held a bake sale during lunch time. We raised over 65,000 ft for the Budapest Bike Maffia foundation which gives poor people or people who can’t support their families, money, clothes and food.
There was a wide range of bakes from 3 types of chocolate brownies to Korean sweet bread with many different types of cookies, cupcakes and cakes in between. Everything was 300ft, and if small, 3 for 300ft and everyone who bought a baked good could walk away knowing they might have saved someone from freezing or losing someone they loved this winter.
To everyone who contributed to this cause, we give a big shout out to and a big thank you from the ones you saved. Especially since this was such a delicious way to raise money, Year 8 might be holding another very soon and has raised the bar for charity events this year. To other classes, this is very much a competition; see who can save the most people and raise the most money for charities.
Thank you YEAR 8 EWA !
