1. A female rabbit is called a doe and a male rabbit is called a buck.

2. A baby rabbit is called a kit or kitten.

3. Rabbits live in groups, underground, in burrows. These burrows are little routs underground that have thousands of tunnels leading off into small ‘rooms’. The hole that is visible from above the ground is very small so that the rabbits can roam around freely on the ground and when a predator comes, they can quickly run into the tunnels. The predator won’t fit into the small hole and will go away after a while. What they don’t know is that there are hundreds of rabbits under the ground hiding from him.

4. A group of rabbits is called a herd just like a horse herd.

5. Rabbits have an exceptionally good nose, therefore,

they sense

most of their

surroundings through scents. A rabbit's least effective sense is its vision because they spend a lot of their time underground where there is no light.

13. Rabbits actually don’t eat carrots because it has too much sugar in it. Instead they eat green plants like basil and salad.
