Praying Mantis Facts you might not know

First of all, the praying mantis’s are more deadly than we knew. Sometimes, if they are really hungry, they can eat each other. However, these insects aren’t that deadly to humans unless they think you’re trying to hurt it or if you want to touch it, they might think your finger is food. If they bit you, you may or not feel a tiny bit of pain depending on the size of the insect. If the insect is smaller than 6 inches, you may not feel any pain, if its bigger or 6 inches, you may feel a little paper cut pain.

There are over 1,800 species of praying mantis’s and some can be beautiful. An example is the pink Hymenopus Coronatus praying mantis. It looks like a flower in order to disguise itself ready for the pray. Like all other praying mantis’s, it has 5 eyes which is a clue to why they are known as great hunters and predators.

Praying mantis’s are only to be found in the late summer or the beginning of autumn. Sometimes you may see an original green Europe praying mantis which has black eyes! This is the reason why some people can find them scary, but originally, this is nothing to be afraid of at all, their eyes are black because of their age reasons.
