Shakespeare Event in BISB
Are you a fan of William Shakespeare? Even if you've only just heard about his marvelous works, Shakespeare holds a special talent in his time as a playwright, writing some vastly famous pieces. In this article, I will be providing a short biography of William Shakespeare , his plays, and the Shakespeare event which will be hosted in BISB in March.
Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet was written in 1597. The genre of the play is love and tragedy. This is a very popular romantic play. The story is about the characters Romeo and Juliet falling in love with each other but cannot be together because of the conflict between their families. Romeo and Juliet kill themselves because they cannot bear being separated from one another. Context of the ending is that Romeo realizes he can not live without Juliet so he kills himself by taking the poison and dies next to Juliet, Juliet then wakes up and sees Romeo’s dead body next to her. Then she kills herself with Romeo’s dagger.The end of the story was very tragic.
Midsummer Night’s Dream
Midsummer Night’s dream was written in about 1595-1596. In the play four Athenians run away to the forest only to have Puck the fairy make both of the boys fall in love with the same girl. The four run through the forest pursuing each other while Puck helps his master play a trick on the fairy queen.
These plays relate to the Shakespeare event in BISB which is a festival that will take place in BISB. In this festival y7s of BISB will pick a Shakespeare play and will rehearse that play for ten minutes and will then perform the play to an audience. The winners of the play will recieve housepoints. First place will recieve 40 housepoints, 30 to second place, 20 to third place and 10 to fourth place.
