My Personal Experience

My dad has climbed several mountains, but he is experienced and does a lot of training before the hike!

He has climbed the Eiger, Matterhorn, White Tooth (he says this is the hardest one) and also Mont Blanc twice!

I have hiked around Monviso with my family and I can say this from experience that there are many animals and insects you don’t see anywhere else, when we hiked Monviso we spotted a very rare black salamander that doesn’t need water to live! Plus, a rare frog called Rana Temporanea. Most mountains are split into 3 main parts. The lower part: woods and rivers, the middle part: rocks and streams (no trees) and finally the summit, where the glaciers and snowy peaks are.

Last Few Things

Never go adventuring around these tall, white peaks alone as they can be extremely dangerous. Always tell someone where you’re going and how long it might take you so if anything happens, they can send help. I hope you enjoyed this snowy adventure and learnt some things about mysterious mountains and their shifting climate.
